Written consent will be obtained at the first clinic visit and this is an acknowledgement that you understand and accept all aspects of the research study—including any risks or benefits involved.

ASCEND-II: This trial involves combined use of nicotine patches and e-cigarettes. The trial is open to people from throughout New Zealand.
STATUS: This trial focuses on combined use of Champix and Zyban or e-cigarettes. The trial is only open to people who are clients of Auckland Community Alcohol and Drugs Services (CADS) or Auckland Community Mental Health Services (CHMS).
RAUORA: This trial is comparing two similar smoking cessation medicines (Tabex and Champix). The trial is only open to people who live in the Lakes District Health Board region (eg. Rotorua, Taupo and surrounds).
